Recommendations
For those joining us from further afield, London has so much to offer, and we’re delighted to share a few of our favourite spots - places that are special to us and part of our everyday lives.
Pubs
A few of our much-loved locals and favourite places for a drink:
The Queen’s Larder, Holborn
Where we went on our very first date - always a special place for us.
Ye Olde Mitre
A cosy and historic pub tucked away just around the corner from our wedding church.
The Royal Oak, Columbia Road
Our local, perfect for a relaxed pint or a Sunday Roast.
The Marksman, Hackney Road
Another favourite local, particularly known for its excellent food.
The King’s Arms, Bethnal Green
A great spot for drinks with a lively atmosphere.
Breakfast & Coffee
E. Pellicci
A true East London institution serving delicious fry-ups (no bookings, but well worth the wait).
Ozone Coffee Roasters, Emma Street
A favourite for excellent coffee and a relaxed brunch.
Abuelo, Marylebone
Café with beautiful 70s-inspired interiors, excellent coffee and a creative brunch menu.
Day Trips
If you have extra time, these are two places especially meaningful to us:
Oxford
Where Céleste has been studying for her Master’s over the past few years - a beautiful and historic city, perfect for a day trip.
Seven Sisters Cliff Walk
A stunning coastal walk we did the day after we got engaged - truly breathtaking, though not for the faint-hearted!
Out & About in London
Some of our favourite ways to spend time in the city:
Tate Modern
Royal Academy of Arts
Victoria Park
Columbia Road Flower Market (Sundays)
Regent’s Park
A walk along Regent’s Canal, from Angel to Victoria Park
We hope you enjoy exploring some of our favourite places as much as we do.
